When cleaning your saddle and bridle, first disassemble all the parts. Start with saddle soap or cleaning spray to remove grease, dirt, and sweat. Then let the leather dry thoroughly, but not near a heater or in direct sunlight to prevent it from drying out.
Then the real grooming can begin! This is crucial for keeping your saddle and bridle supple and water-resistant. Rub the care product in thoroughly with a soft, lint-free cloth, but you don't need to apply it thickly. You can choose a gel, cream, or conditioner, for example. Not sure which product to use? Feel free to ask our staff for advice.
You can also choose oil. While it's best to avoid using oil on the soft parts of your saddle or on the stitching, it is very suitable for stirrup leathers, girth straps, and your bridle. It makes the leather extra supple.
Let everything soak in thoroughly, then rub it with a soft cloth for extra shine and store everything neatly in your closet. This way, your belongings will stay cared for and protected from external influences like sand, sweat, water, and more!
