The anatomical noseband protects the sensitive nerves of the horse's head. Also, like a bridle with a high noseband, it doesn't rest on the most sensitive part of the nose. This is in contrast to, for example, a bridle with a low noseband, which rests on the sensitive part of the nose but keeps the nostrils free. However, a high noseband alone doesn't allow for a muzzle closure. This noseband offers a combination of both: the noseband doesn't rest on a sensitive spot while still featuring a flash strap. A flash strap also promotes a quieter position of the bit. There's still less pressure on the nostrils, which improves breathing and can enhance performance. The additional strap under the jaw is easy to close thanks to the snap hook.
The headpiece is also special, anatomically shaped and softly padded.
