When does the horse suffer from accumulated sand?
This is easily tested by filling half a bucket with water and adding 5 or 6 manure pellets. Let the bucket sit for an hour and then check the contents. If there is more than 1 teaspoon of sand at the bottom of the bucket, the horse has ingested too much sand. It is recommended to give the horse Sand-Away .
