The MAX-Control is a double-jointed bit that, at first glance, is indistinguishable from any other double-jointed loose ring snaffle. However, it is a correction or training bit that locks into place at a specific angle, thus becoming a double-butted bit. The bit fits very comfortably in the mouth when the horse is working well. When the horse resists the rider's hand, the more intense rigid effect occurs.
Sizes 10.5 cm and 11.5 cm are 14 mm thick. Other sizes are 16 mm.
