If administering this product multiple times a day is difficult in practice, once a day or once every two days is sufficient. In that case, administer the maximum daily dose. This product is still effective, but the response may take a little longer.
If there is improvement, you can switch to a maintenance dose. This is usually half the dosage indicated on the packaging. When dosing this product, carefully monitor your animal's reaction. A higher dosage may be necessary initially; this product can be safely administered at double the recommended dose. If there is improvement, gradually reduce the dosage to the lowest possible dose.
With some dilutions and extracts, a brief worsening may occur at the start of treatment. This means the animal is reacting to the product. In the event of a significant increase, halve the dosage or temporarily stop and then gradually increase the dosage.
Administration
Administer this product directly into the mouth using a plastic syringe, diluted with a little water if necessary. Preferably not with a meal, as the product is more effective when absorbed through the clean oral mucosa. If an animal doesn't like the product, the drops can be given on a small piece of treat.
Good in combination with PURE Detoxi and PURE Zinc Sulfur paste
Duration of treatment
This varies depending on the situation; the effect is usually visible after 5 to 7 days. If there is improvement, continue using this product for another 1 to 2 weeks.
This product can be administered continuously. It is recommended to have a week off every 6 to 8 weeks. This way, the "stimulant" can be offered again after the week off. Resume treatment immediately if necessary.
Provide a clean and dry environment, avoiding contact of the skin with moisture and urine. Long hairs should be clipped. If the skin does get wet, it should be dried thoroughly. Give the horse plenty of exercise. Use a mild honey-based shampoo no more than once; it disinfects but slows healing. If itching occurs, a mite infestation may be present. In that case, contact your veterinarian.
