The loose ring snaffle is a standard cheek piece. This cheek piece has loose rings that allow the bit to move more freely in the mouth, making it well-accepted by many horses. To prevent skin from getting caught between the moving rings, it's recommended to fit the bit with bit rings. Smaller rings have a more direct effect on the aids than larger rings. The smaller the rings, the more pressure is transferred over a smaller area. This is a good bit for a somewhat stronger horse.
The single-jointed bit has a single hinge point, which puts less pressure on the tongue than a double-jointed mouthpiece. A single-jointed mouthpiece primarily affects the bars and sides of the tongue, and can also affect the palate. A single-jointed mouthpiece is considered a standard mouthpiece.
The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a distinctive blue color. Sweet Iron develops surface rust through contact with (air) moisture, which has a sweet taste and naturally stimulates the horse's saliva production. This causes the horse to foam more, which improves acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of the TRUST bits to a brownish-gray.
TRUST equestrian bits are quintessentially Dutch. All bits are designed, developed, and handmade in the Netherlands. A team of technical professionals works on their production daily. The bits are assembled with the utmost care and made from the finest materials. This ensures high quality control and standards. Each design continuously considers the balance between shape, material, and weight. TRUST bits are slightly curved, allowing them to conform better to the horse's mouth. This anatomical shape allows the bit to fit more comfortably in the mouth and distributes pressure more effectively. With a wide selection of mouthpieces, cheek pieces, and materials, TRUST strives to offer a suitable bit for every horse.
